Windows In Your Pocket

All it takes is a minor error in the Windows Registry or a virus infection, and your operating system can become unbootable. But with a properly configured USB flash drive on hand, you’ll always have a compatible replacement no further away than your pocket or keychain. In addition, the flash drive can also provide a secure browser and virus scanner, and lets you take your favorite DVD burning and Office software with you wherever you may go.

All that’s needed is a bootable USB Flash drive with at least 256 MB of storage capacity and a Windows Setup CD. Using the program Bart PE Builder (Freeware), you can install Windows XP on the flash drive, along with other software as needed (and as available space permits).

Bart Lagerweij’s free utility, PE Builder, condenses the original setup data for Windows XP into a slender operating system that is ready to run from a CD or a USB flash drive. This compact, portable version of Windows includes all the important system tools for dealing with a PC emergency. You can even add other programs to this collection, such as the media writing tool Nero Burning ROM or an anti-spyware package such as Ad-Aware SE Personal, during the installation process.

أكيد أكثركم تعرفون لعبة Monopoly المشهورة. و لكن أسوء ما بهذه اللعبة سرعة ضياع أوراق Monoply النقدية. و لذلك قامت شركة Parker Brothersمؤخرا بتطور اللعبة و استبدال الأوراق النقدية ببطاقات مغناطيسية مشابهة لبطاقات الفيزا. علما بأن سعر هذه اللعبة سيكون £24.99، و لكن الشركة لم تعلن حتى الآن عن موعد نزول هذه اللعبة في الأسواق…

pPod for PPCs

هذا برنامج لتشغيل ملفات الـ mp3 على الـ pocket PC. و الجميل في هذا البرنامج أنه مثل الـ iPod تماما. نفس الواجهة، نفس طريقة الاستخدام، حتى صوت الانتقال ما بين الواجهات نفسه. و تستطيع من خلال هذا البرنامج تغيير لون الـ iPod إلى اللون الأبيض أو الأسود.

ملاحظة:
هذا البرنامج ليس جديد، بل ان شركة Starbrite Solutions قامت بعمل هذا البرنامج قبل سنتين و لكل شركة Apple رفعت قضية على Starbrite Solutions بسبب تقليدها للـiPod. و لكن يبدو أن البرنامج تسرب من قبل أحد العاملين و انتشر على الانترنت بشكل قوي جدا.

اتصلت قبل قليل على شركة الاتصالات على رقمهم المعهود 902. و كالعادة يوجد اعلان مدته لا تتجاوز العشرون ثانية. و كان الاعلان هذه المرة عن خدمة الـ 3.5G و قالوا في الاعلان أن سرعات الاتصال عن طريق الجيل الثالث تصل إلى 2MByte !! و هذا يعني أن سرعة الاتصال 16Mbit …

يعقل الكلام هذا؟ …

Floating Bed

أمضى المهندس الدينامركي Janjaap Ruijssenaars ما يقارب الست سنوات في تصميم هذا السرير الذي يطفو في الهواء “Floating Bed”. يطفو هذا السرير في الهواء بفضل أقطاب المغناطيس المثبته على السرير و على الأرض و السقف. و يستطيع هذا السرير أن يحمل جسما وزنه 900 كيلو جرام!! و سعر هذا السرير غالي جدا، حيث أن سعره 1200000 يورو نعم مليون و مئتي ألف يورو!!

Smart Lid For Dumb Coffee Lovers

Ok, you can’t always sit down on the couch to drink your morning coffee while reading your morning paper or browsing the internet. Sometimes you wake-up late, and you got to take your coffee to go. That’s where this gadget comes in. This coffee lid changes colors according to its temperature. Be careful when it’s red though. Makes you feel like a kid again…

There are 2 main reasons for spilling coffee (ask me):
1- it’s too hot.
2- the lid isn’t on properly. (always happens)

Now, this is a really cleaver idea. Many people hate the stains coffee mugs leave on tables, and that’s why they started to use those mini plates(some people call them coasters). These mugs come in two different designs that interlock in a few places so you can go nuts, stamping away at your gorgeous coffee table.

The only problem is that they cost abit too much. The two mugs cost about 59 USD….

Lock Cup

you know how some people don’t mind drinking from other people’s mugs, regardless of how the owner of the mug feels about it. I personally don’t like it when other people use my mug!! I feel alot more comfortable when I know that no one has ever used this mug but me!! This gadget makes it almost impossible for others to use your mug, because the mug has hole that can only be covered using the key that came with it!! Someone could cover it with tape, but who would go through all that trouble!!
